  • Mission

    Center for Deaf-Blind Persons, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission to provide services needed to minimize the devastating effects of a combined vision and hearing loss upon the individual and family. The Center offers the support and skills training needed to assist individuals who are deaf and losing vision, blind and losing hearing, losing both hearing and vision simultaneously, and totally deaf and blind, to live independent productive lives.

    About Us

    Center for Deaf-Blind Persons, Inc. has been providing assistance and training to individuals with dual-senory loss since 1985. Services provided are: rehabilitation training in the areas of communication, independent living, orientation and mobility (use of the white cane), and leisure activities/tactile development; public education and technical assistance; deaf-blind peer support group; pre-vocational and vocational services; support service providers; older adult services; social group (WISH - With Impaired Sight and Hearing); and distribution of distance telecommunication equipment through the iCanConnect program.
