FRIENDS OF THE RICHMOND PUBLIC LIBRARY

  • Mission

Enabling lifelong learning and community enrichment by supporting Richmond Public Library programs.

    About Us

For more than thirty years, the Friends of the Richmond Public Library organization has faithfully sponsored library programs for kids, teens and adults. These build childhood literacy, teenage preparation for college and reading for a lifetime. Many programs, like summer reading and homework help, boost kids' chances for productive lives. Thousands of Richmond residents benefit. Our non-profit, 100% volunteer organization raises funds through book sales, memberships and donations.

We’re seeking energetic volunteers to bolster our efforts. Specialized activities include book sorting and sales, which are a critical way that we raise funds. We also are looking for people to help with writing, crafting publicity and social media postings. Come join our team, give back to your community and help Richmond’s future! Thank you.
