    Thurston Climate Action Team (TCAT) is a local non-profit organization founded in 2009 and dedicated to creating a healthy and sustainable future for Thurston County. We encourage action, coordinate action, and take action on climate change. Recent projects have focused on reducing local emission of climate change-causing greenhouse gas emissions.

    About Us

    With that goal in mind, we have worked extensively with local governments, businesses and non-profits, including work with the cities of Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater, and Thurston County, on their recent commitment to a regional climate action plan. Earlier this year, TCAT received a two-year grant to improve communication, coordination, and collaboration among local grass-roots groups that work on climate change and related issues. We have also inherited from the local Economic Development Council an energy efficiency program and are in the process of renewing and expanding that effort.
