Washington Reading Corps - L.P. Brown Elementary

Olympia, WA

  • About Us

Washington Reading Corps, a branch of AmeriCorps, is an organization which strives to improve literacy for students and educate parents on the importance of reading to their children. At L.P. Brown Elementary we are looking for volunteers to come in before, after, and during school hours to work as a reading tutor, or simply to read aloud to children. Currently, our in school program is meeting during lunch to work on prep reading to help students get ready for the next days lesson. There will also be parent events which will require many hands to help ensure a fun educational evening for students and their families.
