  • Mission

JCL envisions a society where all children can read and are inspired to reach their full potential. Inspired by Jewish values of social justice, the Jewish Coalition for Literacy is dedicated to eliminating childhood illiteracy by mobilizing tutors, engaging parents, and expanding home libraries to help underserved public school children throughout the Bay Area.

    About Us

In just 1 hour a week you can help a student learn to love reading. Join the Jewish Coalition for Literacy (JCL) as a volunteer reading tutor in grades K-3.
