    The Somali Community in Western New York (SCWNY) is a 501-c3 community organization founded in 2002 to serve Somalis in western New York. The SCWNY seeks to foster the growth, self-determination, and self-reliance of the Somali community by making them agents of their own advancement. It seeks to become a comprehensive community center providing a full range of services to its own community while welcoming people from all cultures and ethnicities.
