  • About Us

Dance St. Louis is widely recognized as the leading dance presenter by St. Louis, the Midwest and the professional dance community. During the 2015/2016 Season, Dance St. Louis will celebrate their 50th Anniversary in presenting world-class dance and educational opportunities that make professional dance accessible to everyone. Dance St. Louis has presented stars of the dance world such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Pilobolus , New York City Ballet, and The Joffrey Ballet.

The annual SPRING TO DANCE® FESTIVAL, a sold out Memorial Day Weekend dance extravaganza, features 30 professional dance companies from across the county. In 2012, Dance St. Louis’ role expanded to become a producer of dance through New Dance Horizons. This project draws the curtain up on the Dance St. Louis season, and pairs four leading St. Louis-based dance companies with four nationally-renowned choreographers for the creation of world-premieres for St. Louis audiences. Dance St. Louis also provides life-changing opportunities through the Monsanto Dance Education Residency Program, which brings the transformative power of live, professional dance education to diverse, low-income middle and high school dance students with intensive, cross-curricular instruction.
