  • About Us

The Capuchin Franciscan friars of the Province of Mid-America are members of a worldwide fraternity numbering more than 11,000 men who answer the call to live in service to the Catholic faith. They model their lives in the spirit and manner of St. Francis of Assisi.

The Mid-America Province is a regional division of this religious order of the Catholic Church. The Capuchins have been serving the Midwestern United States for more than a century and minister to the region’s most needy including those in conflict, the homeless, the hungry, the sick, the oppressed and those within parishes.

The Capuchin Franciscan friars also serve in ministries in Papua New Guinea, Puerto Rico and northern Mexico.
