FAMILY AND MEDICAL COUNSELING SERVICE INC

Originally founded in 1976, Family and Medical Counseling Service, Inc. (FMCS) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) community health center that develops and delivers educational, prevention and treatment services to address the critical healthcare and social service needs of minority communities, with a special focus on those communities residing east of the Anacostia River. Our services include: community outreach, primary medical care, medical case management, food bank and medical nutrition therapy, mental health services, outpatient alcohol and other substance abuse education and treatment and traffic alcohol education, counseling and support services. FMCS also provides a comprehensive continuum of care from prevention to treatment for people living with and at high risk for HIV/AIDS.
