The Smith County Historical Society maintains the museum and archives, located in the Carnegie building, and Camp Ford. It is our hope to provide our community, and anyone interested, with our fascinating collection of Smith County history and the artifacts that we have accumulated since our founding in 1959. Our extensive archives collection contains everything from photographs, to newspapers, to family histories. Our organization offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for all experience levels, and we would love to work with you! Please feel free to contact us with any volunteer or informational inquiries you may have.
