We Care Animal Rescue

We Care Animal Rescue is a private non-profit organization established in 1982. Our shelter serves as a refuge for homeless cats and dogs in the Napa Valley. We foster and promote the general welfare of animals by caring for homeless cats and dogs, finding homes for them and educating the public on animal welfare in the Napa Valley. We are funded entirely by private donations and fundraising effort.

Our refuge in St. Helena provides nurturing care for over 250 animals in a completely cage-free environment. We are committed to a true "no-kill" philosophy. Many of the animals in our care are unsuitable for re-homing due to age, illness or temperament. At We Care the animals are able to live out the remainder of their natural lives in a peaceful, serene sanctuary free from judgement or harm.
