Cow Hollow School

Description: 

It is our mission at Cow Hollow School to honor and nurture a diverse community of children to reach their potentials and learner, participants,  stewards, and critical thinkers in society.

It is also our mission to empower those in the presence of children with knowledge, skills, and resources to raise and teach children with respect and dignity.

It is this lens and  the value we place on children and childhood, as well as theories and experiences of active, culturally responsive, social-constructivist education, that inspires, provokes, and fosters dispositions for life-long learning for children 2-5 year-old. 

Cow Hollow School, a part day, inquiry based program is located in the beautiful Presidio, providing daily opportunities for children to develop stewardship and love of the natural environment. 

 Information for Parents:

The Cow Hollow School community consists of a dynamic and diverse group of master teachers, administrators and families committed to thinking deeply about responsive parenting and teaching practices, as well as honoring the individual child within the context of the group.  

Program Details: 

• Daily outdoor exploration in The Presidio
• Parents  participate in the classroom approximately 3 hours per month 
• Before-school, extended day  and after school care available with an additional fee
• An Art Specialist works directly with children
• Nearly all Teachers have Masters degrees in Early Childhood Education
• Robust parent events and education includes parent workshops and parent consultations throughout the year. 
• BabyTalk, a parent and child program, is  available in the Summer 
• Summer school program available.
• Tuition Assistance is available
