The Chill Foundation
Mission: The mission of the Chill Foundation is to inspire youth to overcome challenges through board sports.
What We Do: Our positive youth development program revolves around a six-week curriculum that uses boardsports to teach life skills and increase self-esteem in our participants. Our six weekly themes: patience, persistence, responsibility, courage, respect, and pride, provide a framework for learning and personal growth. We use our time getting ready to introduce the weekly themes through an activity, and reinforce the concept during our time on a board. This structure allows participants to make meaningful connections to the curriculum while experiencing the joy of riding on a board. Chill operates in 15 cities throughout North America, providing opportunities for over 1,800 youth annually.
