  • Mission

ECANA (Endometrial Cancer Action Network for African Americans) is a survivor-led organization that centers community-building, advocacy, and research for Black women at risk or affected by endometrial cancer. We provide support, education, and awareness for empowerment toward better health for Black women who are disproportionately affected by endometrial cancer in early intervention, quality of life, and survival rates to reduce disparities in overall treatment outcomes.

    About Us

We center the voices, values, and needs of African American women with endometrial cancer; while advocating for clinical and evidence-based guidelines that serve to optimize access to care and improve survival rates for a demographic that has been historically marginalized in timely medical intervention, leading to more aggressive types and advanced stages of endometrial cancer.

We communicate clear and personal intentions toward approaching challenges to our mission as opportunities to draw from our lived experiences and focus our energy on solutions, rather than barriers.
