Child Development for Kids

Child Development for Kids, Inc. (“CDK”) is a non-profit organization that has been incorporated since the 1960’s involved in the education of children, operating programs that serve children before, after and in out of school time settings, in areas of Massachusetts with large Hispanic populations. CDK is now researching and developing policy and programs to improve outcomes for Hispanic children using their afterschool settings as the stage for this success.

CDKids’ overarching goals are to work collaboratively and to contribute to the national discussion around strengthening afterschool by developing policies and best practices that make a meaningful difference in the lives of DLL children. Our objective is to deliver unique programs in a culturally competent manner using bilingual and bicultural staff that can be replicated across the country by afterschool and out of school time programs in Family Child Care homes.
