    About Us

    Palolo Chinese Home (PCH) is a private, not-for-profit 501(c) (3) charitable organization, whose mission is to aid the aged in Hawaii, regardless of race, religion, nationality, ethnic origin or gender. It is one of Hawaii’s oldest and largest adult residential care homes (ARCH). PCH is governed by a 20-member, Board of Directors (nonpaid), who represent Hawaii’s diverse businesses, consumers, and community organizations. Located in the Palolo Valley district in metropolitan Honolulu, Palolo Chinese Home has 50 licensed ARCH beds, 61 intermediate/skilled nursing care beds, and an adult day center that can accommodate 40 clients per day. Palolo Chinese Home originated in 1896 by a group of Chinese immigrants to care for its fellow retirees. PCH established its permanent residence on 15 acres of land in Palolo Valley in 1917. Today, PCH provides a continuum of care services. Besides offering residential care and adult day services, PCH also has senior companion, house cleaning, overnight respite care, and prepares hot meals for individuals living homes.
