Cabrini Ministries

Cabrini Ministries is a faith-based / community-based nonprofit organization working in the Lubombo lowveld of Swaziland. Its mission is to promote the well-being of individuals and families through comprehensive integrated health care, child care, education and social services to the most poor and vulnerable in the rural chiefdoms of Ngcamphalala, Mamba, and Gamedze. Cabrini has been in these chiefdoms since 1971 responding to the most pressing needs of the communities.

Cabrini utilizes healthcare, childcare, education, and family services to address issues in the local community brought about by the HIV and TB pandemic and its consequences. The HIV prevalence rate in the catchment area is estimated at 50% with high TB comorbidity. This is coupled with an 18 year drought, high unemployment rates and a significant lack of healthcare and childcare services. Despite the many challenges Cabrini is bringing about its vision of “Restoring Life.”
