  • About Us

The DC Alliance of Youth Advocates (DCAYA), founded in 2004 and officially staffed in January, 2006, is a coalition of youth-engaged organizations, youth, and concerned residents formed to ensure that all District of Columbia youth have access to high-quality and affordable developmental opportunities.

We accomplish our mission through policy advocacy, networking, and youth empowerment. We envision a community where no youth is considered at-risk and where all are respected as valued community members. To this end, we work to establish structured opportunities for adolescents to become safe, healthy, resilient, and confident community members.
