Helsinki Photo Festival

Helsinki Photo Festival is a visual arts event focused on photography. The program includes numerous exhibitions, pop-ups and pedagogical events with workshops, portfolio reviews, webinars, guided tours and photo walks inviting photo enthusiasts of all ages from any gender, race or class to participate in this art fair. We are a multidisciplinary team of expert staff with working methods (such as photography, installation, journalism, print, digital media, curatorial practice, marketing, graphic design, site-specific art, participatory arts). Throughout the years we have organized numerous outstanding exhibitions and educational events with prestigious partners such as Finlandia Hall, The National Museum of Finland, Hanaholmen - the Swedish-Finnish Culture Centre, JCDecaux, Maailma kylässä, to mention a few. Since 2017 Helsinki Photo Festival has developed a concept titled Nordic Village and consists by now with about 30 artists. From Finland the project includes artists such as Sari Soininen, Maria Lax, Svante Gullichsen, Heidi Kirjalainen, Tomas Olsen, Anna Kuokkanen and more. Nordic Village will happen in the summer of 2022 in Hanaholmen, Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre.
