About Us
Contact 211is a non-profit, volunteer based helpline ministry serving the northeast TN area since 1978. Contact volunteers provide a non-judgemental listening ear to those who are in crisis, lonely, confused, hurting, or who simply need to bounce some ideas off of someone. Through our 211/Information & Referral Program our volunteers are able to provide callers with information about area agencies and programs to help meet their needs (such as food, shelter, counseling, etc.). We also make daily Reassurance Calls to elderly and medically fragile residents of our area to ensure that they are ok and provide a moment of human interaction each day.
