About Us
(Formerly HIV Support Services) directly responds to people who are infected and/or affected by HIV/AIDS by providing a myriad of peer-led social support activities including support groups for HIV positive young gay and bisexual men, HIV positive gay and bisexual men thirty years and older, positive women, and perinatally infected youth. Other programs include the Boston based portion of the national Social marketing campaign, “HIV Stops With Me”, individual advocacy and referrals, monthly “socials” and group level social activity, HIV positive provider facilitation training and training on “Positive Prevention”, a model for peers-helping-peers. Peer Support Services also recruits for and coordinate the JRI Health Consumer Advisory Board.
