David is the founder and director at Dream Children’s Ministry Uganda, nonprofit organization which is dedicated in transforming the lives of orphans, street, homeless and vulnerable children in Uganda.

BACK GROUND OF DREAM CHILDREN’S MINISTRY UGANDA [DCM-U] 

Dream children’s ministry Uganda (DCM-U) is a Community Based Organization founded on the pillars of love, hope and desire for change. DCM-U works to address the needs and aspirations of the underprivileged using a holistic approach directed specifically towards poverty reduction. The organization was started in 2013, registered in 2014 and currently working on proving support to the orphans ,needy, street and vulnerable children in Wairaka Village (Kakira Sub county), and in Wairaka Town (Jinja district) where our office is located.

We focus on promoting and improving on the general welfare of the rural poor through reduction of poverty by providing Education sponsorship and life skills to the children. In addition, DCM-U seeks to improve on the health of the community by alleviating diseases especially those borne out of poor sanitation and hygiene.

We also strive to improve on the mental health of boys and girls affected and afflicted by HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, teenage pregnancy among others.

Furthermore, we go out to communities and empower adolescents with information about sexual reproductive health, career guidance and HIV/AIDS in order to encourage them to not only abstain from sex before marriage but also to use safer sex methods reducing unwanted pregnancies, school dropouts and early marriages, which have provided a fertile group for poverty to thrive.

We also seek to uplift Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) attains education, through offering of educational scholarships where we provide scholastic materials and school fees.

VISION

To restore hope to the AIDS orphaned, homeless, street and vulnerable children who are being left to struggle in the district of jinja as well as in Ugandan communities at large through the provision of education, medication, shelter, basic needs, food and spiritual growth.

MISSION

To help deprived excluded AIDS orphaned, vulnerable, homeless children living in poverty have the ability to become young adults, parents and leaders who can bring positive change to the communities of Jinja and beyond.

OUR ORPHANAGE

Dream children's ministry Uganda has an orphanage with 19 children and all this children stay at the orphanage full time, you can help us by supporting the orphanage with the following:

1. Paying for the house rent $200 per month
2. Sponsoring a child with $30 per month
3. Paying school fees
4. Donating for school materials
5. Donating towards weekly food
6. Donating towards monthly utilities
7. Advocate for the ministry, share with others.

SPONSOR A CHILD

Your gift of at least $ 360 a year ($30 per month), helps to provide for the orphans with ,primary education , school supplies.

All the children who are on the Dream Children’s Ministry- Uganda program of sponsorship are orphans and vulnerable children who are from the poorest families in the surrounding villages of Jinja districts as well as in others .Most of these children have either lost one parents or both due to HIV/ AIDS or in other circumstances and they are left with their grandparents who cannot afford to give them as much support as possible which is needed by the child.
