  • About Us

In brief, the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation protects and restores Iowa's land, water and wildlife.

More specifically, INHF focuses on four priority areas:

    • protecting priority natural land and habitat (prairies, woodlands, wetlands, etc.)
    • connecting public and private lands to create expansive and connected natural landscapes and corridors (landscape protection, river and trail corridors, habitat complexes)
    • restoring natural areas, and
    • engaging Iowans in ways that help them experience, value, protect and speak out for our natural resources.
