About the Hamilton Partnership for Paterson

Founded in 2011, The Hamilton Partnership for Paterson is the Friends Group of the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park. Our mission is to enhance the educational, social, and economic benefits of the Park for the City, the State, and the Nation. We work through education, advocacy, and collaboration with other nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and the private sector. Our office is the Paterson downtown historic district, opposite the Paterson Great Falls, the second most powerful waterfall east of the Mississippi.

As a national park in a diverse city of more than 150,000, it is a community resource that benefits local residents, and a historic and cultural destination, contributing to economic growth and vitality in the city and region. Currently, our priorities include the construction of the new Alexander Hamilton Visitor Center, with groundbreaking anticipated by the middle of 2024; and, in partnership with Park leadership and staff, working to increase educational and community programming in and related to the Park and Paterson.
