    THE CENTRE FOR RESEARCH, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND CONSERVATION-CAMEROON (CEREPC CAMEROON)

    was created in March 2008,by a team of University graduates from the University of Buea and Dschang to initially help students facing difficulties in bio-conservation research and foster sustainable biodiversity protection and conservation. Later it was registered in July 2009 as a legal organization to foster grounded research on African biodiversity and species, help develop management plans,and guide environmental conservation and management.CeREPC was set up to fill this need by conducting, supporting and encouraging research into all aspects of the environment.

    OUR VISION STATEMENT:

    Ensure Fauna and Flora Species are Fully Conserved and Protected and Climate Change Combatted.

    OUR MSSION STATEMENT:

    To combat climate change as a major threat to humanity and protecting and conserving flora and fauna species especially endangered species.

    OUR OBJECTIVES:

    To mobilise local communities, governments, private sector, international partners, and network with NGOs and other stakeholders to combat Climate Change, advocate for Climate Justice and Equity, Sustainable Land-use and Agriculture.

    Combat bush fire and local practices that destroy habitat for endemic flora and fauna species.

    Promote conservation and protection of plant and animal species in war times/conflict areas with special focus of the Central African Region, with special focus on Cameroon, Congo, Central Africa etc

    To actively conserve African Fauna and Flora species, create safe spaces for endangered flora and fauna species and their habitat

    Promote conservation education by motivating citizens to actively participate in conserving threatened species and habitats

    Provide innovative, science-based solutions for biodiversity conservation and protection in Africa

    Explore relationships among ecosystem health, human health and wildlife health

    To actively work with local communities, traditional authorities, youths, communities to come up with best measures of combating and adapting to climate change to be resilient and to protect and conserve flora and fuana species with their habitat and conducting intensive research to come up with best optons for conservations and protection of local endemic species.

    Aid conservationists to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes that will aid the practice of environmental conservation

    Engage and implement best conservation options and best practices based on scientifically proven biodiversity conservation methods.
