  • Mission

The Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown was created in 1948 to provide housing and care to homeless companion animals in the community. Over the last 70 years the shelter has adopted over 30,000 pets into new homes and reunited over 10,000 pets with their families. Through the generous support of the community the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown will continue to be a safe haven for animals for many more decades.

    About Us

It is the Vision of the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown to have a community where no companion animal is left to starve and fend for itself; where euthanasia is not necessary, other than for severe behavior and medical issues; and where companion animals have a comfortable and loving place to life until a permanent home can be found.
