The Woodstock Historical Society, a nonprofit organization, located in a quintessential historical New England town with a strong cultural, recreational and educational history is seeking an exceptional ED. This is a rare opportunity to shape the direction of a well established historical society.

The ideal candidate will have at least three-years experience in managing a non profit museum or similar entity and minimually hold a bacheler's degree, preferably in history or a related disicipline. The collections of the museum include artifacts, books, rare documents, maps, photographs, and historical works. We are looking for an energetic leader with knowledge of and passion for history and the ability to manage and promote the use of these valuable resources to our community. We expect the ED to enhance the visibility and stature of the historical society, attract new audiences, develop educational programs, identify sources of financial suport, write grants and manage the overall operations of the society including, budgets, programming, marketing, facilities, and collections. The ED reports to the Board of Trustees. This is a full time salaried position.
