Charities applying for membership include highly respected national diabetes organizations, the nation's top-ranked diabetes and endocrinology hospitals, and prestigious institutions conducting research on disorders of the kidney, pancreas, and endocrine system. They also include a number of innovative charities that are active in diabetes prevention and public health programming to address the obesity epidemic in schools and communities across the country. Together, these multi-disciplinary organizations are making a meaningful impact on one of the most significant public health issues facing the nation.
