India's first, national 24- hour, free, emergency phone outreach service for marginalised children (dial 1098). It intervenes for children in need anytime and anywhere be it in case of sickness,accident, death or abuse of children. After the initial crisis intervention, it links these children to long-term services. Since its inception seven years ago, it has taken over 4.5 million calls and made a difference to the lives of hundreds of thousands of children all over the country. Today the service has expanded to 55 cities.Our aim is to reach out to every marginalized child, to respond to every call, to provide quality intervention, and to reach out to the most vulnerable section of children in need of care and protection.
