    To teach youth the art and skills of sewing and inspire stewardship for their community.

    About Us

    Stitches of Love for Our Community is a project of the Fort Pierce Art Club. We teach youth how to sew and have them donate their products to various agencies and organizations that serve people's needs in our community. For example, students make tote bags for foster children, reading pillows with books for homeless children or Teddy Bears, pillow cases and wheel chairs bags for seniors living in care homes. We work with various organizations in our community. All teachers and myself are volunteers and we have a designated classroom in a local church. Our classes are FREE to youth and equipment and sewing supplies are provided. Snacks are provided as well. We demonstrate that sewing is an art.
