  • About Us

Since its founding in 1953, The Paris Review has been America’s preeminent literary quarterly, dedicated to discovering the best new voices in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and visual art. The mission of The Paris Review, which was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2003, has always been twofold: to foster the development of creative individuals as writers and artists, and to promote public appreciation of excellence in the literary and graphic arts. While the quarterly print magazine remains at the center of the organization’s work, today The Paris Review also encompasses a leading literary website (featuring new content on The Paris Review Daily and a digital archive of every print issue), an active social media and newsletter presence, podcasts, books, documentary shorts, and literary programming in New York and around the country.
