The Acceleration Project

As The Acceleration Project (TAP) enters its 10th year, our mission of supporting under-resourced small businesses has never been more urgent. This past year we doubled in size to support small business owners struggling to survive the devastating impacts of Covid, and the demand for our services continues to soar. TAP is seeking a Director of Development who will join us at this exciting and pivotal time to help us generate the funding necessary to ensure the long-term sustainability of our organization.

The Acceleration Project is a female-founded, female-led business advisory firm dedicated to keeping small businesses vital and channeling talent into local economies. TAP supports under-resourced, high-potential small businesses, with a focus on those owned by women and People of Color. We work one-on-one with individual businesses to provide tools and resources that create financial stability and accelerate growth. We also produce scalable programs that can be delivered through webinars, workshops and microsites. TAP consultants provide support across a variety of functions, including financial analysis, marketing, strategic planning, operations and e-commerce enablement. As a 501(c)(3), we rely on fundraising to underwrite the cost of providing services and keep them accessible to all.
