TEAM JEFFERY FOR PF

Jeffery Peters was a loving husband, father, brother, friend and grandfather who was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in March of 2010. Like many people not personally touched by this devastating disease, everyone in Jeffery’s life had never previously heard of IPF. But we all quickly sprang into action and Team Jeffery was formed. Since then we have been working hard to raise awa reness, as well as much needed funds for pulmonary fibrosis.

The truth is that most people have never heard of pulmonary fibrosis, and we hadn’t either until Jeffery was diagnosed in 2010. A brief description is that for some known reasons but mostly unknown reasons, the lungs begin to scar and thicken. It causes the patient to struggle for every breath. Currently PF claims as many lives every year as breast cancer - one person every 13 minutes dies from Pulmonary Fibrosis - yet few people are aware of the disease.
