  • About Us

The Orangutan Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of orangutans and their habitat. Our mission is to support a variety of orangutan conservation projects throughout Borneo and Sumatra, including rehabilitation centers for orangutans confiscated from the illegal pet trade, habitat protection projects, and education efforts. We also endeavor to educate people in the United States about the plight of the orangutan, one of our closest relatives.
