  • About Us

ASEAN Parliamentarians for Human Rights (APHR) is a network of current and former legislators working to strengthen human rights and democracy in Southeast Asia. APHR supports its members through various means as they use their unique positions to highlight human rights concerns and strengthen the voices of civil society actors around ASEAN. Our Mission is to contribute, through the unique role of parliamentarians, to the strengthening of human rights promotions and protections, as governed by international law and the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, and the strengthening of democracy and its component institutions within ASEAN and its individual member states.
