  • Mission

The mission of MATHCOUNTS is to foster enthusiasm and enhance achievement in middle school mathematics by providing engaging, fun, and challenging math programs and resources for students of all ability levels, thereby building their confidence, improving their attitudes towards math and problem-solving, and expanding their academic and professional opportunities.

    About Us

The MATHCOUNTS Foundation is a non-profit organization that runs the MATHCOUNTS Competition Series for middle school students, fostering interest in mathematics through challenging programs and activities. It offers free resources for educators, sponsors, and provides scholarships for top participants, making it accessible for students of all interest levels and economic backgrounds. MATHCOUNTS programs are designed to engage students, build confidence, expand opportunities, and provide a supportive community of peers. The Franklin County Chapter of the Ohio Society of Enginners has been sponsoring the event at the regional and state level for years. This VolunteerMatch page is set up for the Franklin County Chapter, which covers Franklin, Madison, Union, Delaware, Marion, Morrow, Knox, Licking, Muskingum, Perry, Hocking, and Fairfield counties in central Ohio.
