    artworxLA combats the epidemic high school dropout crisis with long-term sequential arts program offering a pursuable life path that inspires students to stay in school, evolve as unique individuals, and flourish as creative adults.

    About Us

    artworxLA offers four levels of increasingly advanced arts programs to students in continuation high schools. Students are provided with support to succeed at each level.

    Level One:Art Workshops and Public Presentations

    Level Two: After-school Arts Residencies and Leadership Development

    Level Three: Scholarships

    Level Four: Alumni Support

    artworxLA was founded in 1992 as The HeArt Project, a series of art-making workshops in a community center on Skid Row. Today, artworxLA provides curriculum-based arts programming to over 1,000 students in 33 alternative high schools throughout LA County.
