Vietnam Animal Welfare Organisation

VAWO works to alleviate suffering of animals in Vietnam through animal welfare education, the introduction of animal welfare legislation, sterilization/vaccination clinics, rescue/adoption, the end to the dog meat trade, and subsidized vet care for local pet owners. We are currently managed by 2 full time volunteer directors, one paid Vietnamese staff, and the help of international volunteers. VAWO has 2 shelters- one for only cats and one for dogs, cats, ducks, and chickens. We advocate for a vegan lifestyle and to end suffering of wildlife, livestock and production animals, as well as domestic animals.
