Middleburg Humane Foundation

  • About Us

The Middleburg Humane Foundation (MHF) operates a non-profit, 23-acre farm shelter located on the west side of Marshall, Virginia. It is our goal to provide a haven for abused, neglected, and “at risk” animals, both large and small.

MHF specializes in the rescue and rehabilitation of animals that come to our shelter from a vast variety of situations. After much needed nurturing and medical care, our animals are placed available for adoption. We are reaching our goal of a humane and responsible community through outreach programs of assistance, education, and where necessary, intervention.

We depend on donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations, as well as funds raised at various events throughout the year. MHF also operates a Grooming Salon at our shelter in addition to a Resale Boutique Shop on Main Street in Marshall.
