THE VISION

With the United States performing below average in both Reading, Mathematics and Science--we have slide outside the top 20 in each category--too many children are suffering from the tragedy of unrealized educational capacities. In low-income communities, the discrepancy is even more startling. The White House reported that just 1 in 10 people from low-income families have a college degree by age 25. We would like to help end that trend. Our vision at Bright Learning Academy involves tailoring learning to the individual child, providing mind-stimulating lessons that stress critical thinking, connecting students to the globalized world, and seeing the immense potential each child has waiting to be realized. We are applying these values in underserved communities everywhere, giving children a more equitable education opportunity and increased parental support.

Bright Learning Academy is a holistic, individually customized tutoring service focused on providing students with the educational capital and life skills to render their dreams achievable. Because each student learns differently, Bright Learning Academy constructs each lesson according to the child’s specific learning style initially honing the fundamentals until critical thinking and enrichment is reached. In the classroom, excelling students often develop apathetic feelings towards languid curriculums, while struggling students find themselves perpetually attempting to catch up. Our program caters to the whole child by using an inside-out approach, fostering their academic, emotional, and creative abilities, while highlighting each student’s tangible progress through comprehensive assessments. In using this approach, we guide students to a personalized and enriching path of success. Bright Learning Academy provides a full service K-12 mobile tutorial program specializing in

• All subjects K-12th with concentration on Math, Science, Reading, and Writing

• All NY and NJ state standardized and private school entry tests including NJASK, ISEE, Terra Nova, COOP, ERB

• SAT and ACT preparation

Our techniques render academic excellence exciting and achievable for all participating students. Whether a child needs academic intervention or an advanced curriculum, we will direct your child towards scholastic success. Our signature 1-1 program allows tutors to become familiar with your student’s specific needs, building comprehension, critical thinking, and logical reasoning skills through customized lesson plans. Our unique comprehensive approach links the parent, student, teacher, and tutor, ensuring that goals are being met.

Nothing speaks to improving performance better than personal and customized attention. Our professionals are seeking to understand the child first before suggesting a program of corrective and practical applications. We listen to the student creating a safe space in a non- judgmental harmonious environment with open communication. Children are taught how to master the fundamentals of Reading, Writing, Math and higher order skills like Critical Thinking and Logical Reasoning. This builds the self-confidence and resolve in them to believe in their own ability.
