We nurture a welcoming, sacred space to awaken the Light within through retreats, program, and communion with nature.

    About Us

    Our Vision:

The Osage Forest of Peace is a thriving, well-known sacred refuge led by an extraordinary staff, board, and community, guided by Spirit and abundantly fulfilling our mission. Inspired by the wisdom and vision of Father Bede Griffiths, Osage Forest of Peace was founded as a monastic ashram in 1979 by Sister Pascaline Coff and the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. Today we continue to embody the original vision by being an interspiritual, contemplative retreat center and by drinking from the wellsprings of the great spiritual traditions - Through contemplative silence, a simple life-style and communal living and by offering hospitality to all who seek to deepen their spiritual practice.

    Who we are:

We are an open-hearted contemplative community of spiritual seekers dedicated to embodying our fullest divine expression.

    Who we serve:

We serve all who seek to find rest, renewal, and reconnection in the beautiful natural environment of the Forest. We are open every day from sunrise to sunset for day visitors, and open most weekends for overnight guests and group retreats. All are welcome here, and we often host special free programs for the general public, including for families, 2SLGBTQIA+ community members, and seekers of all walks of life.
