    About Us

    The San Andreas Regional Center Foster Grandparent & Senior Companion Programs establish person-to-person relationships between adults 55 years of age and older to children & adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities receiving services from the San Andreas Regional Center. The Foster Grandparent & Senior Companion Programs are national programs that have been active in Santa Clara County since 1972 at Agnews Developmental Center and transferred to the San Andreas Regional Center in 2008. The Programs are funded through AmeriCorps and the California Department of Developmental Services. FGP/SCP volunteers serve in various schools within Santa Clara County, Adult Day Programs, and Adult Residential Facilities.
