About Us

The mission of RADical Readers is to promote Reading and Art through our theme based book club events and empower youth to “Do Good” in the community by organizing kid-friendly community service projects. RAD’s book club activities are geared towards elementary aged students and their families and offers internships and volunteer opportunities to high school students who wish to help organize events for the program.

RAD operates during the months of October and June and meets on the 2nd Saturday’s of each month at the Torresdale branch library in Northeast Philadelphia. We strive to organize events that are fun and stimulating for the entire family. All activities/events are organized by RAD's Founder, Khadijah Johnson-Moore, supported by countless volunteers but more importantly, driven by the amazing kids of RAD.
