The Winsted Phoenix

The Winsted Phoenix is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed to serve the public interest and need for news and information in the Northwest Corner of Connecticut.

Towns covered include Winsted, Barkhamsted, Colebrook, New Hartford, Norfolk and Torrington. Our mission is to report community news to the Northwest Corner of Connecticut. The Winsted Phoenix covers municipal meetings, nonprofit organization events and activities, local area schools, school sports, new businesses and stories about the people and places of the Northwest Corner.
