Each year more than 6.5 million young people are injured severely enough to land in a hospital emergency room, many with life-altering consequences. Yet, an astounding 90% of these could have been avoided through education and prevention measures like those offered through the Center for Childhood Safety (CCS). CCS has four key programs focused on areas of injury prevention which include: child passenger safety, bike safety, safe sleep, and an all encompassing summer camp called Safety Town for children ages 4-9 years old to attend. These programs focus on providing families and children with the education and resources needed to keep kids safe and free from injury.
