    For nearly 100 years, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has been defending the freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution of the United States and its Bill of Rights.

    About Us

    Our interests are in the areas of the First Amendment (protecting the rights of free speech, assembly, press and religion), illegal search, privacy, racial justice, women's rights, employment rights, gay and lesbian rights, prisoner's rights and police abuse, privacy protection and surveillance.
