Philomath, a nonprofit, community-based organization focused on providing the educational resources that students need to pursue their academic endeavors with confidence. Our outstanding volunteer tutors are working towards inspiring the next generation of great thinkers, leaders, and change makers.
About Us
Students that come from low-income families are more likely to attend underfunded schools and have less access to advanced coursework, qualified teachers, and extracurricular activities. This significantly puts them at a disadvantage to succeed. This can result in lower academic achievement, higher dropout rates, and decreased chances of attending college. With your help, barriers in obtaining a universal, quality education will be closed, and students will receive the care and support they need to become the best versions of themselves.
