Krishna-valley

  • Mission

At Krishna-Valley we strive to develop a completely ecological and self-sufficient farming community while cultivating our connection to spirituality and God.

    About Us

Krishna-valley, established in 1993, is a religious, non-profit organization in Hungary. It is Europe’s largest and most well organized ecological community. Our farm is a spiritual center that attracts many pilgrims yearly as well as an ecological farm community that focuses on self-sufficiency and environmentally friendly agriculture and way of life.

Our temple is part of ISKCON, its uniqueness and beauty make it a national attraction. Here we provide training for both local and international practitioners in the science of Bhakti Yoga and Vedic culture.

In our agricultural fields, we strive to cultivate all the community's needs. Our cow protection project houses more than 50 herd members from slaughter. The oxen help us cultivate our land as we strive to be environmentally friendly, using as less machinery as possible. Furthermore, since for us becoming self-sufficient means not being part of the national grid, our required electricity is produced by solar panels, our water is supplied by wells and the processing of wastewater is done with a reed-bed sewage system without the use of any chemicals or electricity.

In short, becoming self-sufficient is not merely necessary to help our degenerating environment but also to help us in our own spiritual practice. We believe that living in a peaceful, God-centered environment, not harming any living entity around us is crucial for any spiritual practice. We strive to share this knowledge with others by our example as well as our various workshops, courses and programs.
