About Us

Escuela De La Raza Unida (ERU) is a 501 (c) 3 Educational Service non-profit organization. It is located in Southern California, geographically isolated 100 miles away from any other city. It is 100 miles from the Mexican border and on the California Arizona border along the Colorado River. ERU predominantly serves the low-income community. ERU has four sites all located in Blythe. It offers an array of programs for children, families, youth, seniors, farmworkers and homeless. Within three sites it serves one-hundred and fifty (150) children from ages 6 months to age 12 years. The fourth site a storefront alternative school, youth and family service center. It serves students from ages 6 years to 18 yrs and about 500 adults per year. At this site is also a 250 watt Spanish English educational radio station operating 24 hours per day. ERU is funded by generous donations, grants from private, county, state and federal sectors.
