The Moving Steps Foundation

  • About Us

The Moving Steps Foundation is a non-profit devoted to personal development and social change through dance and expressive movement.

We establish and conduct dance programs for incarcerated women and former offenders in Massachusetts. Our programs utilize dance as the means to facilitate women’s reintegration into society by fostering self-esteem, promoting independence, encouraging communication, and generating a sense of community. In our experience, dance is an amazing medium for personal and social change and a powerful tool to help women succeed socially, emotionally, and vocationally.
